US Corporate Tax Senior Manager

Our client is a leading accountancy practice known for delivering exceptional tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of partnership and funds clients. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced US Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join their dynamic team and lead their tax function for partnership and funds clients.

As a US Corporate Tax Senior Manager specialising in partnership and funds clients, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the tax compliance and advisory services for a range of clients in the partnership and funds sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of US tax regulations related to partnerships and investment funds, as well as the ability to provide strategic tax planning and compliance services to large and complex organisations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance Management: Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for partnerships and investment funds, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Tax Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimise clients' tax positions, including structuring of partnerships, funds, and related entities.
  • Client Advisory: Provide expert tax advisory services to clients, addressing complex tax issues related to partnerships and funds, and offering strategic solutions.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth tax research and analysis to support business decisions and provide technical tax advice to clients.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop junior tax staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional growth.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of tax compliance and reporting.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., Master's in Taxation) is a plus.
  • CPA or EA required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate tax compliance and planning, with a strong focus on partnerships and investment funds.
  • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., OneSource, CCH Axcess) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and provide clear guidance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical tax issues to clients.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of tax professionals.
  • Strong client management skills, with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
