We are seeking a talented and ambitious Senior Business Development Manager to support our client's top-tier Restructuring team in London. This is a unique opportunity to step up to a senior manager level within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

About the Role: In this senior business development manager role, you will be an integral part of the business development team, working closely with partners and other senior stakeholders to drive strategic and day-to-day marketing and business development initiatives. You will support a Chambers Band 1-ranked Restructuring team, known for handling high-profile, market-leading UK and global mandates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of proposals and RFPs, adding value through innovative and commercial ideas.
  • Market the Restructuring group both internally and externally, including drafting award submissions and news announcements.
  • Manage the deal reporting process to ensure accurate and timely reporting of all qualifying deals.
  • Oversee the quarterly release of the firms European Distress Index, ensuring maximum press coverage and targeted distribution.
  • Produce high-quality marketing materials such as credential statements, brochures, and market snapshots.
  • Collaborate with external PR and communications agencies on social media strategies, particularly for LinkedIn.
  • Work with the PSL and other team members to disseminate client briefings and alerts, and roll out client-facing materials.
  • Prepare business plans and provide strategic suggestions for improvement.
  • Support cross-border opportunities and share best practices with the US team.
  • Maintain BD infrastructure, including lawyer biographies, pitch templates, and web profiles.
  • Identify speaking opportunities and industry events for the Restructuring team.
  • Coordinate activities with other BD team members to identify cross-selling and collaboration opportunities.
  • Measure ROI on BD activities and recommend potential improvements to partners.

What's needed:

  • A strategic and commercially minded approach to BD
  • Previous BD experience gained within legal or wider professional services.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with partners and clients.
  • Strong project management skills to enable to you manage numerous deadlines effectively
