Senior Business Development Manager

Senior Business Development Manager - £115k

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join a leading international law firm. This role is pivotal in driving the development and implementation of business development plans and brand strategies to enhance the visibility and profitable growth of the firm's transactional practice groups, specifically within Financial Services and Investment Management across London, Dublin, Dubai, and the wider EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and run business development plans and initiatives, working closely with group leadership to formulate clear strategies and achievable goals.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide business intelligence on key competitors and marketplace trends to exploit market differentiation.
  • Client Development: Proactively target and develop new clients, identifying new business opportunities with existing clients.
  • Proposals and Pitches: Evaluate and collaborate on responses to RFPs, develop tailored proposals/pitches, and oversee related production and tracking.
  • Thought Leadership: Drive and shape thought leadership campaigns and oversee routine client communications, including legal updates, announcements, newsletters, and social communications.
  • Events Management: Develop and deliver targeted client events, including seminars, webinars, conference sponsorships, and exhibitions, with a focus on client development.
  • Cross-Practice Synergies: Identify and drive cross-practice and cross-region marketing/BD activities.
  • Technology Integration: Drive the adoption and integration of business development tools and technology.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a small team and serve as a mentor and resource for colleagues across the EMEA region and globally.

What's needed:

  • Previous Business Development experience gained within legal or professional services
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to drive client plans and BD strategies
  • Leadership skills and the desire to act as a mentor to more junior members of the team
