Role Overview:

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be a key player in driving business development initiatives within the firm's fast-growing Private Equity practice. You will work closely with partners to enhance market presence, deepen client relationships, and identify new opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business development and marketing strategies to support the growth of the Private Equity practice.
  • Client Relationship Management: Strengthen relationships with existing clients, increase share of wallet, and develop new client opportunities.
  • Opportunity Spotting: Proactively identify and pursue new mandates and growth opportunities within the Private Equity sector.
  • Lead Generation: Utilize data from various sources to identify leads and facilitate introductions for partners.
  • Market Knowledge: Maintain extensive knowledge of the Private Equity market, key stakeholders, and market conditions to inform business development approaches.
  • Pitching & Proposals: Lead on pitches, proposals, and presentations, ensuring tailored and compelling messaging for prospective clients.
  • Thought Leadership: Identify pertinent client issues and themes, suggesting topics for client conversations and campaigns.
  • Client Development Initiatives: Manage and coordinate client events, seminars, and thought leadership initiatives to increase visibility and reinforce the firm's reputation.

What's needed:

  • Experience: Proven business development experience, ideally within a legal or professional services environment, with a strong focus on Private Equity.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Private Equity market, including key players, market dynamics, and emerging trends.
  • Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to develop and implement strategic business development plans.
  • Client-Focused: Strong client relationship management skills with a proven track record of developing and maintaining high-level relationships.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Strong team player with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand and respond to client needs.
