Restructuring Research Analyst

This is unique opportunity for someone with a restructuring and analysis background to join a highly respected global law firm as they are looking to hire a Restructuring Analyst to be based out of their London office. This is a newly created position that has come off the back of increasing within restructuring team.

The firm has a tremendous reputation in the restructuring space having offered legal advice on some of the world's most complex engagements over the last few years. You'll be working alongside the business development team and providing essential market and macroeconomic analysis that will be used by the partners

Responsibilities

  • Monitor market events, economic trends, and policy changes that could create opportunities for restructuring or managing liabilities in our target markets or industries. Also, look for new markets or industries that might face financial difficulties.
  • Review the financial health and performance of target debtors, including their ability to raise more capital and spot any areas where value might be lost.
  • Analyse financials, operational performance, capital structures with a view to try and identify early signs of distress to be able to target the potential opportunities before they hit the specialised restructuring press.

Requirements

  • Strong financial analysis skills, you should have the ability to assess complex financial data and create reports off the back of this data
  • Individuals from a restructuring advisory, investment banking or legal practice background will all be considered
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, in particular you will need strong report writing skills
  • Proficiency in CapIQ, Bloomberg, Reorg, Debtwire are all beneficial.
