Pricing and Analytics Executive

A hugely impressive, prestigious, and global law firm are looking for a Pricing and Analytics Executive to join their London office. This role has exposure across the whole firm where you will be working with stakeholders across the business including Partners, Finance, Business Development and Technology.

As the Pricing & Analytics Executive some of your key responsibilities include -

  • Promoting best practice pricing governance and monitoring the firm's adherence.

  • Creating panel and bespoke transaction-based pricing proposals. Undertaking financial modelling and scenario analysis to support pricing decisions.

  • Collaborating with the Pitch Team to create competitive and innovative fee proposals that meet strategic and financial goals.

  • Assisting Partners with client rate negotiations by offering tactical pricing advice and analytical support.

  • Preparing reporting and analysis to deliver thoughtful commercial insight.

  • Researching and identifying existing or historical firm matters to create pricing templates that assist in the development of budgets for new matters.

  • Supporting on post-completion reviews in relation to matter profitability.

  • Creating and delivering pricing training for the lawyers and the Commercial function (BD, Pitching, Marketing, etc).

  • Maintaining rates and other pricing data in the finance system.

  • Other ad hoc project support, as required.

To be successful in this Pricing & Analytics Executive role you must have -

  • Minimum 1-2 years in a similar pricing and/or commercial environment (ideally from a law firm but this is not a prerequisite).

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. The ability to build strong business relationships with internal clients and the resilience to deal with demanding individuals.

  • Strong Excel and data skills. PowerBI skills would be an advantage.

  • A good eye for report design, e.g. format, layout, orientation, etc, bearing in mind the recipient's objectives.

  • A questioning mind, e.g. the ability to spot, and an active desire to rationalise, unexpected quirks in the data.

  • The ability to multi-task, keep calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines.

  • Excellent attention to detail and good use of grammar.

  • Proven experience of working with diverse and cross-functional teams whilst fostering an inclusive team culture.

  • Team player, with the ability to work in an independent manner when required, but also happy to share knowledge and delegate, and be delegated to.

  • A high level of professionalism and integrity; displays the highest standards of professional ethics.
