Legal Biller
I am delighted be partnered with an exceptional law firm based in the city, in their search for a Legal Biller to join their team. The role works closely with the Billing Manager and has an international remit, this is an excellent opportunity for a legal finance biller with 2 - 3 years' experience.
Day duties of the role:
- Address daily billing inquiries from fee earners and their PAs.
- Distribute monthly Work in Progress (WIP) reports and Billing Guides to Personal Assistants (PAs) and Partners.
- Ensure compliance with VAT regulations in all billing processes.
- Maintain timekeeper records and rate information in the system.
- Oversee billing operations for the Paris office.
- Prepare and manage the submission of e-bills.
- Prepare pre-bills for PA/Partner review, including handling split and consolidated bills.
- Process time transfers and write-offs.
- Send monthly Aged Debt reports and support fee earners with credit control.
The right candidate will have:
- Experience of working in an international and multi-currency environment.
- Strong Excel skills and a thorough understanding of accounting software principles.
- Previous experience of using Aderant / 3E or equivalent billing software.
- Minimum of 2 years' billing experience.
- Legal sector experience gained in an international multi-currency environment.
- Reliable, adaptable and flexible attitude, ensuring that deadlines are met.
- Organized and methodical approach to tasks, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work co-operatively and flexibly with a varied team.
- Excellent attention to detail, sound judgment and logical decision making with a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can assess priorities and manage a variety of activities in a time sensitive way.
- French language skills desirable.
