Events Specialist - 12 months FTC

We are happy to working with an impressive global law firm, currently looking for an Events Specialist to join the firm on a c.12 month contract.

The Role
In this role, you will be working in a very hands-on position to carry out a range of work across client events, seminars, receptions, round tabes, and cirtual programs. Furthermore, you'll be working to support diversity, talent, and also alumni events. You will need to support the associate director in the successful management/organisation of client events across EMEA and North America as required (including overseas travel)

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

* Acting as lead project manager for events. This will be from initial creative design/pre-planning stages, right through to on-site execution.
* Successfuly choosing venues and processing contracts with the Procurement team.
* Preparing event proposals and managing budgets, as well as processing all related payments and invoices.
* Liaising with stakeholders about invitations/mailing lists.
* Providing support/training when required, to members of the global events team.
* Updating all stakeholders on progress.
* Managing vendor relationships.
* Coordinating purchase and distribution of promotional items and client gifts.
* Working with vendors and catering contacts
* Any other ad hoc duties as necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

• Around 3-5 years experience with event planning (preferably in a law firm/professional services environemtn)
• Clear passion for event production
• Strong knowledge of venues/vendors
