The Role

In this role, you'll be working within this dynamic, standout Events team, on a lively and busy desk. The team themselves deal with over 200 events per year, ranging from breakfast meetings to large scale conferences. Within this centralised events team, you'll be working on firm wide events.

You're responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Organising various events including seminars, webinars, breakfast meetings, private dinners, and forums.
  • Managing the entire event process: take briefs, advise on best practices, suggest formats, handle budgets, book rooms, source catering, and create badges.
  • Overseeing onsite events and manage online webinars.
  • Collaborating with the Events Team and Business Development to understand needs and propose effective approaches.
  • Creating event invitations and communications, manage event lists, and assist with targeting and analysis.
  • Supporting the E&SP Manager and Head of Brand on strategic events, handling logistics and admin, and assist with ad hoc projects.
  • Developing and implement event programs with Business Development Managers to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Maintaining event and sponsorship budgets, negotiate contracts, and manage expenditures.
  • Communicating events internally and externally via the website, intranet, and event calendar.
  • Ensuring event collateral aligns with brand guidelines, maintain quality control, and stay updated on new venues and technologies

There is scope to work more creatively for events than other similar firms, as you support the firm's strategic event programme, creating memorable client experiences and maximizing ROI. The role involves smooth planning, implementation, and follow-up of events, collaborating with stakeholders to advise on effective options. It also includes sharing best practices, learning from colleagues, and assisting with firmwide events. Regular reporting on event outcomes will guide future activities and influence business strategies.

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Proven Business Development/Events experience
  • Track record of delivering events within a corporate environment, preferably some within professional services or the legal sector
