Corporate Tax Manager

Corporate Tax Manager in a top 25 Accountancy Practice in Leatherhead, Surrey! We are working closely with our client to add to their well-established corporation tax team who are looking for a manager to help lead a portoflio of client projects.

Responsibilities and Duties



As a Corporate Tax Senior, you will be working collaboratively within the corporate tax team to deliver high standard work and manage a portfolio of clients ranging from SME's to OMBs. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:




  • Manage a portfolio of business tax clients, ensuring compliance and building client relationships.
  • Assist with training and managing the business tax team.
  • Advise and assist corporates on business and tax requirements, including succession planning, remuneration planning, and capital expenditure timing.
  • Focus on business tax while having knowledge of other tax areas affecting entrepreneurs, such as Business Asset Disposal Relief and Business Property Relief.
  • Support entrepreneurial businesses throughout their lifecycle, including IP protection, restructuring, business structuring, staff incentivization, international growth, and shareholder value protection.
  • Advise on tax elements of equity incentivization, such as the EMI option scheme.
  • Engage in networking, proposals, and growing the corporate tax portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities for tax planning, risk mitigation, and cross-selling between service lines.
  • Train and mentor junior colleagues.



Requirements



Candidates will need to be either ACA/ACCA equivalent and/or CTA qualified or at final stages of their qualification with solid corporate tax technical knowledge as well as practical knowledge.



Additional requirements include:




  • Knowledge of other business taxes and tax reporting processes is preferable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of UK accounting standards and competent in interpreting accounts and other financial information
  • Travel between UK offices and to UK client premises may be required.
