Business Development Executive
Our client is an international law firm with a focus on private capital in their search for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to join the Tech, Consumer, and Sport Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client and key intermediary relationships, and promoting the firm's tech, consumer, and sport sectors to maximize revenue and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Targeting Support: Provide day-to-day support to the team, develop strong relationships with partners and colleagues, and facilitate proactive cross-selling across the firm.
- Planning & Budgeting: Work with the wider BDM team on plans and budgets, participate in marketing and business development meetings, and provide updates on activities.
- Targeting & Networking: Support the delivery of the key intermediary programme, plan activities and meetings, and monitor referral activity.
- Pitches & Capability Statements: Create credentials statements, draft pitches, and tender responses, and support the pitching and relationship-building process.
- Directory & Award Submissions: Coordinate the legal directory and award submissions process, liaise with partners and research teams, and produce press releases and social media announcements.
- Events: Plan, deliver, analyse, and follow up on targeted events such as seminars, webinars, and client hospitality.
- PR & Profile Raising: Support PR activities, undertake desk research, and organize BD/Marketing training for partners and fee earners.
- Digital: Maintain and update the firm's website, deliver social and digital media campaigns, and support the CRM team.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in legal marketing or an international law firm.
- Strong relationship-building skills and experience working with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of marketing databases (e.g., InterAction/Vuture) is advantageous.
- Positive, flexible, and proactive attitude with strong project management and organisational skills.
