Audit Manager or Senior Audit Manager
Ambition is partnering with a rapidly growing Top 100 firm seeking to hire an Audit Manager or Senior Audit Manager to support their expansion in the London office. This firm is one of the fastest-growing in the Top 100, with an average annual growth rate of 25%. They have ambitious plans to continue this growth and intend to open additional offices in the future.
You will manage a portfolio of SME audit clients across various sectors. The firm's growth offers excellent development opportunities, supported by strong training and development programs.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Audit Director in managing and developing the Audit team through effective supervision and training.
- Plan and execute audits thoroughly, ensuring all sections of the file are completed.
- Review all accounts and provide feedback to team members.
- Perform managerial tasks and support the wider team through regular reviews, on-the-job training, and study support.
- Collaborate with the Head of Audit to distribute work across the team.
- Lead weekly team meetings to discuss client deadlines, workload, and billing targets.
- Attend client meetings, fostering strong relationships and securing new business.
- Help deliver CPD training and webinars to ensure the team remains compliant with the latest legislative changes.
- Drive best practices within the audit team while ensuring efficiency.
- Begin building and managing your own portfolio of clients.

Requirements
- ACCA or ACA ICAEW or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to plan and lead an audit throughout its entirety.
- Recent working knowledge of both UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience auditing OMBs and SMEs in the UK.
- Previous experience working as an external audit manager or senior manager.
