Audit Assistant Manager

Ambition are collaborating with a top 30 accountancy firm to recruit an Audit Assistant manager/Supervisor for their London office. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established team, supporting the manager in executing audit assignments, contributing to the firm's reputation across diverse sectors.

The firm are a dynamic and ambitious assurance practice, comprising 6 partners and a dedicated team of 70 professionals. They cater to a broad spectrum of privately owned businesses across various industries, including financial services, real estate, retail, manufacturing, professional practices, and technology and media. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, conduct, and finalize audits in line with auditing standards and the firm's methodologies.
  • Prepare financial statements, including consolidated accounts, under UK GAAP or IFRS.
  • Oversee audit assignments, fostering strong client relationships, resolving audit issues before managerial review, and providing feedback on junior staff's work.
  • Communicate complex or sensitive issues with the manager and partner, using discretion to escalate matters when necessary.
  • Conduct training sessions for junior team members throughout the year and suggest innovative improvements to audit methodologies for greater efficiency.

Ideal Candidate:

  • ACA qualified
  • Strong audit focus with experience in UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Experience in group audits and coordination with group/component auditors
  • Proven ability to lead an audit team of two or more members
