We are seeking an Accounts Semi-Senior to join our diverse and social Accounting Solutions Department in London. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing accounts, bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT returns, and statutory accounts.

About Our Client: Our client offers a range of professional services, including audit, accounts, management consultancy, payroll, and taxation, primarily serving small and medium-sized enterprises. The diverse client base includes large national and international corporations, privately owned businesses, partnerships, sole traders, self-employed individuals, and non-resident landlords.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Relevant experience in accounts preparation and bookkeeping.
  • Completed AAT qualification and/or started ACCA studies.
  • Self-motivated, computer literate, and possesses good communication skills.
  • Study support for ACCA qualification, including paid leave for tuition courses and exams.

Key Skills, Abilities, and Personal Attributes:

  • Experience: Minimum of two years' relevant experience or the ability to demonstrate required technical knowledge with minimal supervision.
  • Motivation: Highly motivated self-starter, able to complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment with colleagues, Managers, and Partners.
  • Organisation: Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and assist on ad hoc assignments.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English, with the ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and accurately in person, via telephone, and email.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to check for accuracy and give good attention to detail.
  • Budget Management: Experience working to budgets, resolving client queries, and liaising with managers and supervisors.
  • Software Proficiency: Prior experience with CCH software, cloud-based systems like QuickBooks, Xero, and/or SAGE, and apps such as Dext and Hubdoc.
  • IT Skills: Good IT skills, including experience with accounting software programs, Word, Excel, and other Windows-based systems.
